Philip D. Kannel, DO, FACS Dr. Philip Kannel received his medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, Des Moines, Iowa in 1975. He completed a rotating internship at Normandy Osteopathic Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. To fulfill his specialty requirements for ENT and surgery he completed residency programs at Saint Louis University Hospitals. While at SLU he served as Chief Resident for the ENT program.
Dr. Kannel is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has provided Otolaryngology specialty services for the Alton Area and surrounding communities since 1983. He was in private practice prior to joining Illini Medical Associates in 2001. Dr. Kannel has office and surgery hours in Alton and Jerseyville.
